10-Day Argentina Tour: Buenos Aires, Iguazu Falls & Wine Country

Buenos Aires, Iguazu Falls & Wine Country

10 days

A Tailor-Made 10-Day Argentina Journey of Cities, Nature & Wine

Jhimy Sante

Presented by Jhimy Sante, Your Local Expert

Experience three distinct sides of Argentina in one customizable 10-day journey. Begin in Buenos Aires with culture, neighborhoods and gastronomy, continue north to explore both sides of Iguazu Falls, then finish with three nights in Argentina's wine country.

Choose Mendoza for a classic high-altitude wine-region finale with flexible regional experiences, or San Rafael for an alternative combination of local wineries and the landscapes of Valle Grande and the Atuel area. The two final-region options are alternatives, not combined in the standard package.

The itinerary stays customizable in pace and optional activities. Optional tango, winery lunches, rafting, catamaran rides and other add-ons are not included unless the final quotation explicitly includes them.

10-Day Argentina Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Buenos Aires

Meet a Peru Wayna Picchu representative on arrival and transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free to rest after the international flight or begin exploring the cafes, restaurants and broad avenues near your hotel.

Day 2: Buenos Aires city highlights

Explore Plaza de Mayo, San Telmo, La Boca, Puerto Madero, Recoleta and Palermo with a private English-speaking guide. The route can emphasize history and architecture, contemporary neighborhoods or gastronomy. An evening tango show may be added as an optional experience.

Day 3: Buenos Aires at your pace

This day stays flexible. The base version may leave it free, while optional experiences can include the Tigre Delta, a culinary experience, an art and design route, shopping, cycling or another locally operated excursion. Optional activities are quoted separately unless one is included in the base package.

Day 4: Early flight to Puerto Iguazu and first Argentine circuit

Take an early flight from Buenos Aires to Puerto Iguazu. After arrival and transfer, begin the shorter Argentine-side circuit the same day, using the afternoon efficiently without trying to cover the full park.

Day 5: Argentine side - longer circuit and main viewpoints

Return to the Argentine park for the longer circuit and the principal sectors not completed on arrival day, prioritizing the Devil's Throat sector when accessible and allowing time for viewpoints, photographs and breaks.

Day 6: Brazilian side, Parque das Aves and evening return

Cross to Brazil for the panoramic side of Iguazu Falls, continue to Parque das Aves and allow time for the duty-free shopping stop. Take an evening flight back to Buenos Aires when the confirmed schedule makes the sequence practical. Overnight in Buenos Aires.

Day 7: Choose final region - Mendoza or San Rafael

The final three nights are sold in one of two configurations and are not combined. Mendoza version: take a morning flight from Buenos Aires to Mendoza, transfer to the hotel and use the remaining daylight for a relaxed introduction to the city, including the historic center, main plazas, Parque General San Martin and Cerro de la Gloria. San Rafael version: take a nonstop Buenos Aires-San Rafael flight only when it operates on the required date, transfer to the hotel and keep the remainder of the day light. San Rafael schedules are date-dependent and are validated before quotation.

Day 8: Wine country in the selected region

Mendoza version: visit selected wineries in Lujan de Cuyo or the Uco Valley with a specialist guide and enjoy tastings focused on high-altitude viticulture. San Rafael version: visit selected established local wineries according to confirmed supplier access and availability. A winery lunch can be quoted as an optional addition because meals are not included as a PWP standard.

Day 9: Regional experience in Mendoza or San Rafael

Mendoza version: the day stays flexible for a second wine region, a high-mountain excursion, spa time or an independent day, depending on the traveler. San Rafael version: use the day for Valle Grande and the Atuel area, combining canyon scenery and nature with optional activities such as a catamaran ride, rafting or other outdoor experiences when season and supplier allow. San Rafael is therefore an alternative final base, not a day trip from Mendoza in the standard package.

Day 10: Return to Buenos Aires - end of package

Transfer to the airport in the selected final region and fly to Buenos Aires. Mendoza version: use MDZ-BUE. San Rafael version: use AFA-BUE only when a suitable nonstop service operates on the required date. The package ends on arrival in Buenos Aires. If the traveler connects to an international flight the same day, the final airport combination and connection time are confirmed before booking.
