Depart Lima to Ica on a 4-hour drive. At your arrival, you will be transferred to the airport to take a small plane to overfly these enigmatic, gigantic figures carved in the sand, long before the Incas dominated the area. Have lunch overlooking the Huacachina Oasis (lagoon). Start your way back to Lima. Visit the Paracas National Reserve, Peru’s only marine preserved area, extending over a total of 335.000 acres. It has a good variety of wildlife like crabs, sea lions, orcas, whales, sea turtles, and over two hundred bird species in the area, including the Humboldt penguin, boobies, flamingos, and petrels. It is a beautiful park, full of beaches, cliffs and rock formations. You will visit the Paracas Interpretation Center where there is an interesting overview of the biodiversity of the area and on the workds that are being done to protect the reserve. Return back to Lima.
Entrance fees, transportation in minivan, lunch, and bottled water. Tour starts and ends in any hotel located in Miraflores or San Isidro. No guide is included.
